On this page

A finished AI-generated video ad costs $1–$6 in 2026 on most dedicated AI UGC platforms, with premium AI-actor tools running about $11 per video and general-purpose avatar tools landing around $0.70–$2.00 per minute of rendered footage. A single human UGC video, by comparison, runs $60–$2,000 depending on whether you buy through a marketplace or an agency, and takes 7–14 days instead of minutes. That is the short answer. The long answer — the one that decides whether your real bill matches the headline price — lives in the billing models: credits, tokens, minutes, annual-only rates, and burn tables that some vendors don't publish at all.

This guide is the roundup of our review dataset: hands-on verified pricing for 20+ AI video tools, checked against each vendor's live pricing page in July 2026. Every number below comes from those reviews, and each tool links to the full review where the pricing is broken down plan by plan.

The four billing models (and where each one bites)

Almost no AI video tool charges per video. Instead you'll meet four metering systems, each with its own way of making the sticker price and the real price diverge.

1. Credits per month. The most common model. You get a monthly pool; each generation burns some of it. The trap is the burn rate. HeyGen's Creator plan advertises 600 credits for $29/mo — which sounds enormous until you learn its flagship Avatar IV/V footage costs 20 credits per minute, so 600 credits is about 30 minutes of top-tier video. Runway is the extreme case: Standard's 625 credits at $15/mo buy roughly 50 seconds of flagship Gen-4.5 footage a month. Neither number is hidden, but neither is on the price card either.

2. Video minutes. Synthesia, Elai, Vidnoz, and Colossyan meter in minutes of rendered video. Cleaner to reason about — but watch the caps (Synthesia's paid self-serve tiers top out at 10–30 min/mo, generous for training videos, tight for creative testing) and the fine print: Elai deducts minutes at render time, and deleting a bad take does not refund them. Colossyan splits its allowance across two engines — its Professional plan includes 30 minutes of the older NEO engine but just 10 minutes of the flagship NEO2 quality most buyers assume they're paying for.

3. Tokens/credits per finished video. Ad-pipeline tools like Creatify (~5 credits per video ad), TopView (5 credits per standard 15-second video), Zebracat (a plain videos-per-month cap), and Prizmad (4–5 tokens per finished ad) let you compute a real per-video cost. This is the model where the $1–$6 range comes from.

4. Flat / unlimited. Rare but real: DeepBrain AI offers unlimited core video rendering on paid plans from $24/mo — you budget seats and per-video length, not credits. Only its generative-model add-ons are metered.

The three hidden-cost traps we keep finding

These are recurring findings from our reviews, not hypotheticals:

  • Annual-billing headline rates. InVideo's "$17/mo" Plus plan is billed yearly — $200 up front. Zebracat's annual toggle halves every tier ($39→$19, $99→$49, $199→$99), which makes the monthly rates read like list-price theater. Pictory's Professional is $59 month-to-month but $35/mo annually; Opus Clip and Vizard both run a flat 50% annual gap; TopView advertises 41–68% annual discounts. Always check which toggle the headline price assumes.
  • Expiring credits. InVideo credits don't roll over. VEED's allowance is an annual pool that dies at renewal. TopView's Ultra credits expire monthly while its Pro credits are yearly — same product, different expiry rules per tier.
  • Unpublished burn tables. MakeUGC sells 500–2,000 credits a month but does not publish a credits-per-video rate anywhere on its pricing page — you find out your real cost during the $1 trial. Synthesys credit burn varies by feature and model with no public table. Captions' $9.99 Basic tier lives in the help docs, not the pricing page. And Arcads publishes no pricing page at all — arcads.ai/pricing returns a 404, and the widely cited $110/mo figure comes from third-party audits of the post-signup paywall.

One more failure mode worth pricing in: platform risk. Hour One, a well-funded avatar vendor, was discontinued after its acquisition by Wix — its last published prices ($30–$112/mo) now exist only in archives, while stale roundups around the web still cite them as live.

The big table: 20+ tools, verified July 2026

Prices verified against vendor pricing pages, July 2026. "Entry price" is the cheapest paid plan; annual-billing rates are flagged. "Effective per-video" assumes a 15–60 second ad where computable from the vendor's own published rates.

Prizmad (pricing)$19/mo (30 tokens)Tokens per asset~$2.70–6.004–5 tokens/finished ad; top-up tokens never expire

For Prizmad, the honest math: Launch at $19/mo covers roughly 6–7 finished ads (~$2.70–3.20 each), Starter at $99/mo covers 16–20 ($5–6 each), and Pro at $249/mo covers 70–87 ($2.90–3.60 each). A finished ad means script, avatar, voiceover, captions, and music composited from a product URL — which matters for the comparison below, because most tools in the table price a render, not a finished ad.

Worked example: 20 creatives a month, three ways

Say you're a dropshipper testing 20 ad creatives per month — a normal cadence for a store spending $5k–$30k on Meta and TikTok. Here's the full math on three tools from the table.

Arcads. 20 videos needs the Creator plan at $220/mo (the $110 Starter caps at 10). That's a flat $11.00 per video — before rerenders, which come out of the same allowance, so one rejected take per five videos pushes the effective rate toward $13. You also write every script yourself and assemble final cuts in your own editor. What you're buying is the category's most realistic AI actors.

Creatify. At ~5 credits per video ad, 20 videos ≈ 100 credits — exactly the Starter plan at $39/mo. That's ~$1.95 per video, the best sticker rate in the category for URL-to-video ads. The catch is headroom: one bad month of rerenders and you're shopping the $99 Pro tier, and the advertised "up to 50% off" applies to annual billing.

Prizmad. 20 finished ads at 4–5 tokens each is 80–100 tokens. The Starter plan ($99/mo, 80 tokens) covers 16–20 ads at ~$5–6 per video; if you land on the heavy side, a top-up pack covers the gap — and top-up tokens never expire, so nothing is lost to a light month. The per-video price is higher than Creatify's; what it buys is the full pipeline (paste a product URL, get a composited ad with script, avatar, captions, and music in about five minutes) plus the AI Studio's 30+ standalone tools on the same subscription.

Three tools, three totals for the same month: $220, $39, and $99–118. The spread is not noise — it's the difference between paying for actor realism, paying for raw renders, and paying for a finished pipeline. Decide which of the three you're actually short on before you decide which bill to pay. If Arcads' model appeals but the price doesn't, we keep a full list of Arcads alternatives with the same verified-pricing treatment.

The human UGC baseline

The reason all of these numbers look small: the thing they replace is expensive. Marketplace rates tracked publicly by Insense and Billo put entry-level marketplace UGC at roughly $60–$150 per video, mid-tier independent creators at $400–$800, and agency-managed UGC at $1,000–$2,500 per creative — with 7–14 day turnarounds at the marketplace level and 4–6 weeks through agencies.

ChannelCost per videoTurnaround
UGC marketplace (entry)$60–$1505–14 days
Mid-tier UGC creator$400–$8007–14 days
Agency-managed UGC$1,000–$2,5004–6 weeks
AI UGC platform$1–$11Minutes to hours

At 20 creatives a month, the human route costs $1,200–$16,000; the AI route costs $39–$220. That doesn't make human UGC obsolete — founder stories, named testimonials, and regulated categories still favor real people — but for product-led creative testing, the cost gap is now two orders of magnitude.

How to not overpay: a seven-point checklist

  1. Convert everything to cost per finished video before comparing plans. Credits, tokens, and minutes exist partly so you won't.
  2. Check the billing toggle. If the price card says "/mo," confirm whether that's monthly billing or an annual commitment divided by twelve. On several tools in our dataset the gap is 40–50%.
  3. Find the burn table. If the vendor doesn't publish credits-per-video (MakeUGC, Synthesys), assume the worst case and measure your real burn during a trial before committing.
  4. Check credit expiry. Monthly reset, annual pool, or never-expiring top-ups produce very different effective prices for bursty ad testing.
  5. Budget for rerenders. First-pass approval is not 100%. A tool that charges full price per rejected take is 20–40% more expensive than its per-video rate suggests.
  6. Count what's in the render. A raw avatar clip still needs a script, captions, music, and assembly. Your time (or your editor's rate) belongs in the per-video math.
  7. Never buy annual before a paid month. The annual discount is real money, but so is twelve months of a tool that didn't fit — and one vendor in our dataset shut down entirely with published prices still circulating.

Frequently asked questions

What are AI UGC ads?

AI UGC ads (AI-generated user-generated content ads) are video advertisements that use AI avatars, synthetic voiceovers, and automated editing to replicate the authentic, creator-style content traditionally filmed by real influencers or users. Prizmad generates AI UGC video ads from any product URL in minutes — at a fraction of the cost of hiring human UGC creators.

How long does it take to generate a video?

Most videos are ready within 5 minutes. Complex ads with custom avatars may take up to 10 minutes. You'll receive a notification when your video is ready.

Do I need video editing experience?

Not at all. AI handles everything — from script writing to final editing. Just paste a product link, choose your preferences, and let the AI do the rest.

Do I need a product link to get started?

No! A link is optional. Paste a URL from Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, or any product page and everything gets extracted automatically. Or skip the link and describe your product manually.

Can I edit the AI-generated script?

Yes! After AI generates a script using proven ad hook formulas, you can review and edit every line before rendering. Full control over the final messaging.

What platforms can I publish to?

Export videos ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Ads, YouTube Shorts, Shopify, and Amazon. All standard formats are included: 9:16 (vertical), 1:1 (square feed), and 16:9 (landscape) — all in Full HD 1080p.

How does AI UGC compare to hiring human UGC creators?

Traditional UGC creators charge $500–$2,000 per video and take 1–3 weeks to deliver. AI UGC ads from Prizmad cost approximately $3–6 per video (depending on your plan), generate in about 5 minutes, and can be produced in unlimited variations for A/B testing — in 15 languages from a single product link.

Do I own commercial rights to my AI-generated ads?

Yes. You own full commercial rights to every video ad you generate with Prizmad. Use them on any advertising platform, in any market, for as long as you want — no additional licensing fees.

Is it legal to run AI-generated video ads on TikTok, Meta, and Google?

Yes. AI-generated video ads are permitted on major ad platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Google, and YouTube, provided they comply with each platform's advertising policies and any applicable AI-content disclosure requirements. You own full commercial rights to every video ad generated with Prizmad and can run them on any advertising platform without additional licensing fees.

How do tokens work?

Each video generation costs tokens based on complexity. The Starter plan includes 80 tokens (approximately 16–20 video ads), and the Pro plan includes 350 tokens (approximately 70–87 video ads). Tokens refresh each billing cycle and don't roll over.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep access until the end of your billing period. No questions asked.

Want the per-video math done for you? Prizmad's pricing is token-based and public: a finished UGC ad — script, avatar, voiceover, captions, music — costs 4–5 tokens, plans start at $19/mo, and top-up tokens never expire. Paste a product URL into the generator and see your first ad in about five minutes.
